• HIGH-BUILD URETHANE PRIMER: Eastwood 2K Urethane Primer is a multipurpose surfacer that can be used on bare metal, body filler, epoxy primer, and even existing paint. It's an excellent choice if you want to achieve a perfectly smooth surface on an older paint job, as the primer is sandable and fills imperfections as you spray. However, please note that the Eastwood 2K 4:1 Urethane Activator (50241ZP) is required to use this primer paint, and it is sold separately.
• REQUIRES ACTIVATOR: This automotive primer requires the Eastwood Activator Catalyst (50241ZP), which is sold separately. A gallon of primer mixed with the activator creates five sprayable quarts, covering 140 square feet. Ideal for an average car or small truck, this primer has excellent color holdout at up to 150 degrees and is made in the USA.

  Answer : The primer mixes 4:1 with 50241ZP Activator (Sold Separately).

  Answer : The approximate coverage per gallon is 140 square feet.
• Question : Can this product be shipped to California?
  Answer : No, this product cannot be shipped to California due to state regulations.
• Question : Is this primer good to spray before I paint my truck?
  Answer : Y
• Question : Can I use this primer with House of Kolor paint?
  Answer : Unfortunately we do not recommend mixing brands as they may negatively react with each other.
• Question : Can I apply base coat over this?
  Answer : Y
• Question : Can it be used on bare metal? Then use acrylic right over?
  Answer : With conditions. Pay close attention to the period of time between priming, painting, and clear coat. The 1st coat of primer is to create a very light adhesive layer, then a wet coat. I waited an hour before starting a three-application of paint using the same approach. Finally, three coats of clear in 10-minute intervals.
• Question : Can you use acrylic lacquer on top of this?
  Answer : I don’t know why not. Google the product “data sheets” they are a wealth of information. They should advise comparability as well as all your mixing ratios and companion products.
• Question : Do you have a touch-up spray can presentation (of 50240ZP)?
  Answer : no
• Question : Does it work on plastic?
  Answer : If you are asking if you can go directly over body filler, then yes. If you are talking plastic parts you should probably use an adhesion promoter. I hope this helps. It is a premium product.
• Question : After I have sprayed my primer, what would you suggest I use for cleaning my sprayer?
  Answer : I used Acetone. Check with makers of sprayer if acetone can be used.
