Dangerous Goods

Dangerous Good is referred to any item or material that is capable of posing an unreasonable risk to health and safety of cargo and cargo courier when in transit.

The Categories of forbidden goods are as follows:

Fireworks, flares, and ignitors :

These are the examples of explosives, the products that possess the ability to alight or detonate during a chemical reaction.

Explosives are dangerous because their molecules are designed to transform from a solid state to an extremely hot gas very quickly.

Gas :

Compressed gas, liquid gases, refrigerated gases, mixes of gases with other vapours, and items charged with gases or aerosols are all examples of gases.

These gases are frequently flammable and can also be poisonous or caustic.

Flammable liquids :

A flammable liquid is a liquid, a mixture of liquids, or a liquid containing particles that needs a much lower temperature to ignite than other liquids.

Many household items, such as perfumes and acetone, contain flammable liquids (which is used in nail polish remover).

Flammable Solids :

Metal powders, sodium batteries are examples of flammable solids.

These are products that are easily flammable and are prone to cause fires while in transit.

Some products are self-reactive, whereas others are prone to spontaneous heating.

Oxidising Agents :

These compounds, also known as oxidisers, can induce or contribute to combustion as a result of chemical reaction.

Oxidisers aren't inherently combustible on their own, but the oxygen they produce can ignite other substances. Hydrogen peroxide and lead nitrate are the examples of Oxidising Agents.

Radioactive material :

Radioactive materials include unstable atoms that spontaneously change their structure in a random pattern.

The human body can be harmed by this type of radiation. Smoke alarms and yellowcake are the examples.
