• HOW TO USE: Apply the Eastwood underhood black automotive spray paint over bare metal, self-etching primer, or Rust Encapsulator. Once applied the enamel paint provides heat resistance of up to 250° F. One 11-oz. aerosol spray paint can covers 6 square feet. Designed for use on radiator supports, inner fender walls, lug wrenches, jack bases, under hood brackets and other parts.

• Question : Is this paint heat resistant?
  Answer : Yes, the paint is formulated specifically for use under the hood and is heat resistant up to 250°F.
• Question : Does this paint protect against rust and corrosion?
  Answer : Yes, it will protect your engine components from rust and corrosion.
• Question : How many cans will I need to cover my engine bay?
  Answer : One 11oz can should be enough for most engine bays, but larger engines may require additional cans.
• Question : Is this paint resistant to brake fluid?
  Answer : No, it is not.
• Question : Will this paint work on fiberglass?
  Answer : If you properly prep the surface, the under the hood paint should work.
• Question : Will this paint work on plastic?
  Answer : No, it is not recommended as plastic paints generally require more flexibility to handle temperature changes. You should get a paint specifically designed for plastics.
• Question : Is a second can needed for a large radiator? Mine is in a big-block mopar.
  Answer : It is recommended that you use the Eastwood radiator paint specifically designed for heat resistance and thinner consistency. You may require two coats, so two cans might be needed.
• Question : Can underhood black be used over rust encapsulator?
  Answer : Yes, this product can be applied over the top of our Rust Encapsulator.
