  Answer : In 2018, California’s Environmental Research Center sued Gamma Enterprises (the maker of GFUEL) over their products containing lead. According to OEHHA (California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment), a daily intake of 0.5 micrograms can cause blood poisoning, and a daily intake of 15 micrograms a day can cause cancer. Any product that contains 0.5 micrograms or more of lead requires the California warning label. The CDC themselves have said 12.5 micograms of lead causes toxic levels of blood poisoning, while the California law sets it at 0.5. Overkill? Maybe. But California has always been a 'safer than sorry' when it comes to health consciousness. The unfortunate truth however is that neither GFUEL nor California's ERC has ever released the findings on the amount of lead found inside a serving sample. With that, it's safe to assume that GFUEL maintains a level of lead safe to consume as it comprises of all-natural ingredients, all of which will contain lead traces.
