The DEWALT 1000-Watt Power Inverter is a modified sine wave inverter that can power tools and electronics directly from a car battery. It can be used to power LED lights in a shed, but it's recommended to directly connect it to the battery for the best performance. It does not convert the sine wave to a pure wave. The length of time it powers a tool will depend on the battery. It is not recommended to use the 12-volt plug. The inverter comes with rubber foot pads to keep it steady. However, some customers had trouble with the quality of the rubber foot pads, which fell off during transport. The inverter catches fire immediately after plugging it into the battery, which is a safety hazard. It can also give off low battery warnings even with a fully charged battery. Over time, it can just stop working.
