  Answer : Yes, the Zoom F3 can be powered by 4 AA batteries or an AC adapter (sold separately).
• Question : Are the preamps comparable to the f6/f8?
  Answer : Seems like it. The sound quality is the same as the F6.
• Question : If I use the line out to a camera will it output the 32 bit floating audio?
  Answer : No, the audio output is standard 24bit as if using a mic directly to the camera.
• Question : When plugged into your laptop or tablet by usb-c, can the zoom f3 be powered as well by the usb-c or must it always run on batteries?
  Answer : It does not need batteries to run when plugged in via USB.
• Question : Can recording be paused and restarted, saving audio to the same file? Or is it only possible to stop, beginning a new file when you restart?

• Question : Can you connect a lav mic that needs plug in power of 5v directly to the f3 with a straight xlr to trs adapter?
  Answer : Yes, lav mic can be connected directly to the F3 using XLR input, regardless of where the power comes from. Turn off phantom power if plugged into its own external supply.
• Question : Am i able to purchase a 3.5mm to xlr splitter. then attach the splitter to my timcode device and zoom f3 so i may use two camers for weddings?
  Answer : It might not work using a Y splitter with two 3.5mm inputs & one XLR output. Connect the timecode unit to a device with a stereo input to record separately from the scratch audio. You may have to get creative if using both channels on the F3.
• Question : Can the zoom F3 record 32-bit float audio to the internal SD card and be a computer audio interface at the same time?
  Answer : No, record directly into your DAW on the computer.
• Question : How do you insure that the F3 preamp isn’t overdriven by a hot input? An overdriven preamp is analog clipped audio.
  Answer : There are level indicators on the display, and when the levels are too high, it gives a message.
• Question : Is there an option to have Bluetooth & timecode?
  Answer : Yes, with the add-on adapter.
