Zoom F2-BT Portable Recorders Editorial Review
The Zoom F2 is a well-made lightweight, and portable field recorder with 32-bit audio recording capabilities. It comes with a lav mic, and the float audio feature works well. The battery life is good, and it can last up to 10 hours on an Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAA. The F2 stores files as 32-bit BWF native on the device and as a mono WAV output from the app. The build quality is average and made of plastic. The Bluetooth feature may be useless as the app is incomplete and does not work, according to some customer reviews. The SD card removal and battery compartment are awkward but manageable. The windscreen may be loose-fitting though some spare ones are provided in the packaging. Overall, it's a great product with minor flaws.
