Question : Will this charger work with Lithium Ion batteries?
Answer : It works with LiFePO4 - Lithium batteries in addition to flooded, sealed, AGM and GEL. User selectable upon set up.
Question : Does this use pulse charging technology? I made a big mistake when I got one that did. it made my 12v led lights flicker.
Answer : No, the output appears to be steady as per the program CC-CV curves. Haven't checked the actual level of ripple on the output but that is a battery issue you won't notice on the LED's.
Question : What is the equalizing voltage and duration, and can it be set by the user?
Answer : I can't answer that question but I can say I have used this for the last five years on my 42-foot motoryacht with 28D batteries as starting batteries and two deep cycle batteries and it has worked flawlessly to maintain them initially there is a set up will you set it for the type of battery that you will be charging
Question : I have 2 lifeline batteries in my rv, 250ah total. Is this charger recommended to charge them powered by a 2k watt generator?
Answer : As long as the correct battery plug is installed on the charger for your battery type, it should work.
Question : What factors do I consider when deciding between a 50amp or 30 amp model? I have a motor battery, a generator battery, and house battery. All 12v
Answer : There are a number of approaches. One is to allow a maximum of 10% to 13% of the amp hour rating of the house bank in charger amps, for instance if you have 400 AH of house batteries, you could use up to 40 to 52 amps of charger output. This is a maximum, not a minimum, and assumes you're using flooded lead/acid batteries; for AGMs you could use a 20% factor. The starter batteries present no load under most conditions, so aren't in the equation. On a minimum, you need to make sure the charger has enough output to run all of your 12V loads, like lights, refrigeration, etc., with enough left over to charge the batteries and with enough power to keep them conditioned..If you're replacing a charger with a larger one, make sure your cables are up to the increased load. There are a number of charts online, using wire size and length to determine voltage drop and maximum safe current load. You should keep it below 1.5%
Question : Is this charger waterproof?
Answer : I have not proven yet if it's waterproof
