  Answer : Do not use anything other than genuine B+D battery. I tried few others, but none lasted long. If you want batteries for cheap, W.mart (you know) sells some cheap drill kit for about $50 that comes with 2 20V batteries. (Search for no. 564314821) So, even if you throw away that cheap drill, you are still getting a charger and two batteries for $50, which is a good deal.
