• Question : What is the shelf life of Paintstiks?
  Answer : Paintstiks have an indefinite shelf life. They stay moist and fresh because they reseal in 24 hours.
• Question : How to remove the film once the stick is used?
  Answer : The protective film is easily removed by peeling it away with a paper towel, or rubbing it off gently. It can also be removed by carefully paring it with a knife.
• Question : Are Paintstiks available in student colors?
  Answer : Yes, Paintstiks are available in 12 student colors.
• Question : What colors are in this set?
  Answer : The 12 color #100 PROFESSIONAL SET contains: Titanium White, Ivory Black, Alizarin Crimson, Azo Orange, Naphthol Red, Azo Yellow, Phthalo Blue, Phthalo Green, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna, Raw Umber and Yellow Ochre.
• Question : Can I use these to sketch an underpainting to go under water mixable oils?
  Answer : Yes, you can use them with other oil paints and should be able to use them under water mixable paints. However, they are quite big, making it difficult to sketch small details unless you cut off a small piece.
• Question : Can I use these with my hands to blend on canvas to create art?
  Answer : Yes, you can use these oil paint sticks with your hands to blend on canvas.
• Question : Do you think they would work on a wood sign and could you seal it?
  Answer : They probably would work on a wood sign. They are rather hard and waxy compared to other brands. You can seal it with varnish.
• Question : Is this product good for painting on fabric? Is it permanent?
  Answer : It is great for fabric, but like anything else that gets washed, it will fade over time. Handwashing is recommended.
• Question : How are these with encaustics?
  Answer : They are oil paint sticks and may not be specifically designed for use with encaustics.
• Question : Will these paint sticks work with a stencil brush on a metal tray?
  Answer : You might be able to apply them to a stencil brush, but it may be difficult to make the oil paint stick to the metal depending on its finish.
• Question : Can I use these on leather Birkenstock straps and if so, how do I apply it? Like a crayon and color or with a brush?
  Answer : They can be applied on leather, but it is uncertain if they will dry completely and won't smear. It is recommended to use acrylic-based textile/leather colors instead.
