• Question : What is the maximum duration of the alarm?
  Answer : The alarm can be set to sound for 30 seconds, three minutes, or continuously.
• Question : How is the alarm silenced in case of authorized exits?
  Answer : The alarm can be silenced through a key-operated override.
• Question : What is the recommended operating temperature for the alarm?
  Answer : The alarm is recommended to be operated in temperatures ranging from 32째F to 113째F (0째C to 45째C).
• Question : Does it come with the key?
  Answer : Our STI-6400 comes with 2 KIT-H19032 alarm keys (2341) and 2 KIT-H19016 service screw keys.
• Question : Where is this made?
  Answer : It is made in Taiwan.
• Question : How do you shut off the short loud signal that indicates low battery?

• Question : If the door is opened in an emergency, do the wires break away and can they be placed back?

• Question : What is the difference between this unit and the 6400 unit? What is a double door?
  Answer : The STI-6402 is sent with an extra set of contacts for use with a double door entry. A double door is a door with two separate panels. For more information, visit our website.
• Question : How long are the wires?
  Answer : The STI-6402 includes an onboard reed with a 6" lead and the additional set in the hardwire pack has a 72" lead. If you need both to be 72" lead, you can order an additional KIT-E06402.
• Question : If I buy multiple devices, will the key work for all of them?
  Answer : Yes, all the STI-6402 devices will be keyed alike.
• Question : Can it be turned on and off for use only at certain times of the day?
  Answer : Yes, the unit comes with a set of keys to turn it on or off.
• Question : Does it have an option for how long the alarm will sound?
  Answer : Yes, it has options to shut off the alarm after 3 seconds, 30 seconds, 180 seconds, or continue sounding.
