You only need the 7 pieces and can make it more stable by putting china or plastic ware in it.

It is not suitable for holding square plates.

You can put cups on the square area and utensils in the circle areas.

Does this piece come in white?

No, it does not come in white. You can buy a white spray paint and make it white yourself.
