It is compatible with USB 2.0 and 3.0, and it works fine with SSD but might not work on laptop HDD’s. The adapter cable doesn’t require a power adapter with 2.5” drives. The video problem reported by a customer was resolved after changing BIOS settings for the HDD controller from RAID to AHCI mode and downloading Samsung Data Migration Tool.
