The authors, who are landscape architecture faculty at the University of Georgia, have created a comprehensive guide to planting design by grouping the plants into easy to navigate types. The first 52 pages provide landscaping design guidance followed by over 500 pages of detailed plant descriptions, making it an excellent resource for Southern gardeners. Each plant entry contains scientific and common names, origin and appropriate zones, installation, maintenance, and pests and diseases, along with a photograph. This guide even provides warnings for harmful plants, making it comprehensive and informative.
