- Question : What is single din and double din?Answer : A single din is two inches and a double is four inches tall referring to the stereos size. The plastic din is what holds the stereo so if your getting a stereo that’s two inches tall then get a single din. If you have a four inch stereo (like the car play ones) then get the double din so it will fill in your vehicle.
