The 11 cup works fine for me, however, it depends on your family size and portion requirement. Both the 11 cup and 14 cup food processors will not disappoint you. The 14 cup may not come with the flat top, which is the deciding factor for me.
- Question : Is this BPA free?Answer : Yes, all materials in contact with food or liquid are BPA free according to Cuisinart's instruction and recipe book. This food processor also comes with a compact top, which some other brands may not.
- Question : Does the plastic pusher have the small hole in it like the old version of this machine? I want to make mayo with this!Answer : Yes, the plastic pusher does have a small hole in it. It can be used for dicing and chopping. For shredding vegetables like cabbage, the large unit needs to be open, and a specific shredder blade needs to be used. Be sure not to use the white core part of the cabbage. For pureeing food, this food processor is often used for soups, baby foods, and more.
