- Please make sure the 1-4 setting button is pushed on. This setting does make a stronger cup of coffee due to the slower brewing process

- Question : How many cups can it make at a time?Answer : It can make up to 12 cups in one go.
- Question : Is the carafe dripless?Answer : Yes, the carafe has a dripless pour spout for graceful and mess-free serving.
- Question : Is it easy to clean?Answer : Yes, it has separate grind and filter chambers for easy cleanup and parts are dishwasher safe.
- Question : What is the correct way to open the door to get to the coffee filter?Answer : Push the button on the left lateral flank and it will pop open.
- Question : Do you have to reprogram every time the electricity goes out?Answer : Yes, or if you unplug the unit.
- Question : Can you remove the grinder for cleaning?Answer : Grinder cup, grinder lid, brew basket, and coffee pot can all go in dishwasher top rack. A little pricey but the fresh ground coffee is so much better.
- Question : How long is the warming pad?Answer : You can adjust from 1 to 4 hour hotplate. Default is 2 hours.
- Question : Can the coarseness of the bean grinder be adjusted?Answer : No, not on this model. It puts out a pretty fine grind though.
- Question : Is it required to use beans or can a person use pre-ground coffee also?Answer : You can use ground coffee, too!
- Question : Can we pre-grind the beans first and then set the timer for a brew cycle?Answer : You can brew without grinding, but you cannot grind without brewing. The only option is to start the brew cycle without grinding the beans first.
- Question : How do you clean the grinder?Answer : You pull out the two grinder pieces and wash them with soap and rinse with air dry or wipe with paper towel.
- Question : How long is the power cord?Answer : About 18” not real long. Needs to be placed close to an outlet.
- Question : Why does my Cuisinart grind and brew keep overflowing?Answer : You are adding too many whole beans and not using fill line or using paper filters. Use the fill lines on whole beans.

Cuisinart DGB-550BKP1 Coffee Machines Editorial Review
The Cuisinart Single Serve Coffee Maker is a great value product. It has a 48-ounce removable reservoir, built-in coffee grinder, four-hour warming pad and the ability to use K-cups or ground coffee. The machine is reliable, easy to use and clean. The only downside is cleaning the many parts of the machine every day and the noise the grinder makes. Otherwise, this is a great product for coffee lovers.
