- Question : Is the dressing pad sterile?Answer : Yes, the Medpride Calcium Alginate Wound Dressing Pads are sterile.
- Question : Can it be used for infected wounds?Answer : Yes, it is highly effective for infected non-leaking wounds.

- Question : Does this contain any latex?Answer : Not that I know of. It is basically an calcium alginate pad that you place on a wound then use tape or gauze to keep in place.
- Question : What side should be put on the wound---does it matter? The clear packaging or the logo side when opening?Answer : Put the non logo side on the wound.
- Question : Is there a difference between this product and Aquacel AG?Answer : I have only used Calcium Alginate. It works for me.
- Question : Can these be cut to a smaller size?Answer : Yes they can. It is a very large pad that can be cut down to any size. Just try to remain as sterile as possible, touching it lightly and cutting it straight. You can keep it in the wrapping and pull it up leaving the rest of the pad sterile until used another time.
- Question : Product not expired or due to expire per expiration date?Answer : There is no suggested use by date or an expiration date on the box or the individually wrapped pads ... there is only a Lot Number.

The Medpride Calcium Alginate Wound Dressing Pads are an affordable and effective option for those in need of value-based wound dressings. While they may not be as effective as higher-end dressings, they are highly absorbent, easy to use, and easy to remove. The non-stick claim is somewhat questionable as they can get gunky in the wound area. However, they do absorb drainage well without leaving the wound area overly moist. These dressings can be cut to a smaller size and are suitable for various wound stages. Overall, these dressings provide good value for the price.
