TABOR TOOLS Pick Mattock is great for small archaeological projects, onion/carrot harvesting, and preparing flower beds. Its dual-purpose head can break up, loosen and soil, or cultivate vegetable gardens. The lightweight fiberglass handle and comfortable rubber non-slip grip offer improved handling and reduce hand and arm fatigue.

- MULTI-PURPOSE APPLICATION. Great for small archaeological projects, onion/carrot harvesting, and preparing flower beds.
- DUAL-PURPOSE HEAD. 1-pound mini pick/mattock head combo: use the pick’s action to break up, loosen and soil, or cultivate vegetable gardens. This tool will pick through hardpan soil and cut through small shrub roots. PLEASE NOTE: Item needs to be assembled before first use. It takes approx. 1 minute to attach the head to the handle (easy); an instruction email for quick assembly will be sent upon purchase of the mattock.
- LIGHTWEIGHT 15" FIBERGLASS HANDLE. The fiberglass handles are lighter and stronger than wood and virtually unbreakable! The handles offer high visibility: you will easily locate the bright orange tool in the grass. Handle and head can be easily assembled before use.

This mattock is a great tool for gardening and soil work. It is perfect for tight spaces and precision strikes, and much more precise than a full-size pick. Customers who have used it have reported great results, with the tool being able to pry and chip head-size field rock to fit when building stone walls. It's a nice heavy-duty pick with a solid handle, and it's easy to assemble too. It's a bit lighter weight than a full-size mattock or sledge and chisel, which makes it more forgiving. However, the head may come loose from time to time, but it can be quickly and easily reset.
