- Question : Does anyone know how I can convert a cross ballpoint (tech2) to a gel?Answer : No, but you may want to think about that very carefully. Many gel pens and even a few roller ball pens leak if you subject them to reduced air pressure for a couple of hours, such as you experience on any airplane that is not a 787, which has a much higher level of pressurization. I've cleaned ink out of more than a few cases and thrown away several slacks and shirts due to that error on my part. And those were with top of the Parker gel pens. I went back to the ball pens because of it. My Cross has never leaked on me, figuratively or literally.
- Question : Is this a gel ink or select tip porousAnswer : It's gel ink, and it's a fabulous, dark, quick-drying ink.
- Question : The original cartridge in my cross pen matches the description of this one except it has the number 0921 instead of the 1115 in the photo. same?Answer : Mine has 1220 in black under 0.7mm. I think that number changes. (Maybe it's a batch number or something.) You can see it differs between pictures of the product. The number to the right (8523) seems to be the one that matters.
