The Rösle Egg Slicer Plus is a mixed experience for customers. While some found the slicer to be heavy duty quality and useful for slicing mushrooms, strawberries and hardboiled eggs, others claim it to be pure junk that smushes whatever is put into it. The blade width is set to cut slices that are about quarter inch thick and pressure on the handles is thought to be too much in a bid to force it through onions. It is also reported that tomatoes are mashed by the slicer. It might be useful for slicing other items of similar Consistency. However, it is not recommended for meats. The length of the blade is 6.5 inches while the handle is 4.75 in total length. Also, the manufacturer sub-contracted production to various firms in China following the closure of their German factory in 2009. Although the company insists that quality won't be affected, customer feedback suggests who believe otherwise. Some reviewers find it to be a sturdy and well-made product with a great design and very sharp, ideal for chopping herbs or spreading cream cheese or peanut butter. However, on the downside, some customers claim that the blade is not sharp enough, and it becomes rusty after a couple of months of use and washing.

- Blade is well made, sturdy and sharp which makes it ideal for spreading cream cheese or peanut butter
- The Rösle Egg Slicer Plus has a unique and great design
- It is also ideal for chopping herbs, either dried or fresh
- The slicer is more durable than products with wire that breaks easily.
