Does it work on wood floors?

Yes, you would use the cloth side down. For carpet floors, you have the cloth side up and the plastic side down.

Will it work on rubberized gym floors?

Yes, so far all surfaces work even outside, but be warned if you have an uneven surface or use them outside, the hard plastic side will get scratched.

Is it helpful for health?

It's excellent and versatile for building a stronger core.
