    Answer : They will perform equally well as surround speakers. They have a better rated bandwidth of 55hz to 25khz +/-3db instead of 69hz to 25khz for the satellites. Same recommended amplifier power of 20-150 watts. Also more versatile for positioning, e.g. sideways upside down and a pair can be wired together to create a bipole/dipole setup.

    Answer : I don't think this will work. These speakers are not designed to be upwards firing speakers. They are meant to be mounted high up on the walls and fire downwards. If you want upward firing Atmos height effects, I would look at speakers designed for this purpose, such as the Kef Q50a.
  • Question : I am getting a kef t305 home theatre system. Where would be the best place to put these 2 speakers? Any ideas?
    Answer : I have found these to be best used as height speakers in a Dolby Atmos system.

    Answer : Don't get too hung up on the power handling. These speakers can handle a range of power outputs. For example, into 8 ohms, a 6 channel amplifier feeding them puts out 250 watts per channel. The important thing is to match the speakers with an amplifier that provides enough power for your needs.

SVS Floorstanding Speakers Editorial Review

The SVS Prime Elevation speakers are an amazing addition to any setup. They are easy to install and provide excellent sound quality for their price. These speakers work great as height speakers in an Atmos/Surround system and are also suitable for music reproduction. The included installation guide and hardware make the installation process a breeze. The speakers have a sleek and neutral appearance and come with first class customer technical support. Although they may not be the best speakers on the market, they offer great value for money.
