I have 4 1/2 year old twins that would love this. Are they too young for this helmet?

They might be, but my daughter reused the astronaut suit for multiple Halloweens. Your twins will get bigger so by next year, and a few years following, it should fit them very well. My daughter was 7 when she first used it. At 10 it still fits.

I tried to push it back down and use the button but it won't stay closed. What can I do?

Pushing the button in makes the shield come up..just try shutting it without pushing the button in. If it still does not close I would suggest contacting the company. Hope this helped.

Will this fit a 6 year old child?

Yes it will definitely fit a 6 year old and it will fit an adult.

Does that hose detach, allowing for a hole opening in the side?

Hoses are all molded and do not detach and do not allow any type of airflow. The only vent hole is in the front center. I do have a video review on youtube on my channel Sdcostumeguy.

How do you replace the batteries? It arrived with dead batteries and the small direction sheet is incorrect. Can someone post a pic for me, please? Thank you.

We had the same problem, almost broke it trying to replace the batteries. This was last year so I don't remember how I got to the batteries, but helmet still didn't work with new ones so I ended up returning it.

How do I close it? I pressed the button to open it and it won't close now, the box also came damaged I already pushed button again.

For ours, all we have to do is manually slide the visor back down. The button only works to open the visor, not to close it.
