The Zuni Café Cookbook is a technically challenging cookbook that offers fantastic recipes to impress anyone. The late Judy Rodgers' book includes the famous roasted chicken recipe, which is surprisingly simple yet surpassingly delicious. The cookbook is articulate, well-written and charming, teaching easy-to-understand techniques that show the science behind each step. The book captures the spirit of San Francisco's Zuni Cafe and California itself, making readers homesick. Some readers have had issues with the paper copy edition and requested a table of contents with individual recipes.
