Yes it has an adhesive backing. I put this down on my mother's ramp and it worked well just make sure it is warm and you rough up the area with sand paper first.

Has anyone tried it on a metal roof?

Doing it now on classic ribbed galvalume. There are some spots it is not ok to walk on the roof. I am using this stuff to mark all the places that are safe and when it rains or even dews just a little, it is slippery af. Same with dust from cutting masonry. Death slide. This stuff sticks really well. Almost a year on one spot no signs of wear. My skateboard shoes feel like Velcro on it when I go up there now.

How well will it work in a shower?

My thoughts are, it would work well where used, but expensive because of the limited amount of product to be used for a total application.

Does it stick to roughened stone steps?

I applied it to varnished sanded wood. It sticks great with the use of a roller on a warm day. I doubt the success on brick of any kind. IMO.

The tape has paper backing that peels off to reveal sticky side - correct?

Yes...very very sticky! Mine lasted two years in the pouring rain On my wooden steps. The ones which were not exposed to rain are still there.

Can I use it as an anti-slip sole to stick under my high-heel's leather sole?

Would not recommend it - very abrasive and would ruin whatever floor you walked on. Use the old tried and true method of taking a piece of sandpaper and roughing up the leather sole on your shoes before wearing.

Will this tape stick to concrete steps, outdoors?

Yes, it will. I did it on the concrete steps at my parents home. Just be sure to clean and dry the surface very well before applying the tape and let set for several hours. Then you are good to go. - Ken
