It is Considered a reference book and "the bible for power electronics engineers." The book's third edition has more topics and clarifications, making it thicker than the previous edition. The writing is excellent, and the author is highly regarded for being able to explain the material very clearly. However, the book is criticised for having poor quality hardcovers and printing, leading to missing diagrams and figures, and poor binding quality. The book has a lot of pages, making the poor binding quality a significant issue as some pages might become detached after just a few days. Despite the Cons, the book is perfect for teaching power electronics and is a useful reference.
