Either you got very unlucky or maybe were trying some look-a-like cheap substitute batteries or maybe you were using it in a polluted or wet environment. Talk to Dewalt - if it is a new product only 1 month old, maybe you can get a replacement.

received blower today installed battery and it operated for 30 seconds and quit changed battery installed fully charged battery and did not operate?

Make sure the battery is all the way in by striking the bottom of the battery. I have had to do this many times.
