- Question : could i lightly apply this to my dogs entire body? she gets darn near eaten alive by black flies while camping. thanksAnswer : Not good for dogs. They'll lick almost any part of the body you'd apply this. Better off with product made for dogs like Frontline or similar.
- Question : Can it be used on chicken wounds?Answer : This product is labeled for horses and dogs only. I would be concerned about a chicken pecking it and ingesting it for sure.
- Question : How is this applied? A dab for each area? The instructions aren't included with product information.Answer : I use my fingers. I put it any where on the horse. I usually use it around the eyes. On the nose. On the hair rubbed off areas of the hocks. On the back of the legs and ankles. I little bit works well on my horses. When using around the eyes I am careful not too put too much if you have a horse that rubs their eyes on thier legs. I like the clear sway, just because it does not look like yellow gunk on their body. I find it works very well. I have used it for several years.
- Question : can I put this on my horses legs and does it trap heat?Answer : Yes u can put it on their legs or anywhere you want basically. (But not to close to the eyes ,just above and below). Don't believe it traps heat We live in Georgia and it's really hot. My horses don't seem to be bothered by it. It is greasy. They have swat original which is pink , and doesn't seem to be as greasy. I prefer the pink because you can see where u put it and less greasy. But can't always find the pink so use this one quiet often. Great product

- Question : what's the difference in the original vs clear that theres a price difference?Answer : The blue labeled one is the clear formula and the other is the original pink formula. The active ingredients are the same.
- Question : Can you put this on objects (like the rim of a bowl or litter box) and will it repel the flies?Answer : It's sticky like Vaseline and has a smell. You wouldn't want to poison your animals by putting it on their bowls and cat litter will stick to it.
