The Audio-Technica AT2020PLUS is a great microphone for general recording purposes, singing, or voiceovers. It uses an XLR interface that requires phantom power, so a conversion box is necessary for use with a MacBook Pro or Windows 10. It is one-directional with a sweet spot located behind the screen's blue light. Customers have asserted that the microphone captures the nuances of their voice and detects every note with ease. It delivers excellent quality audio for its cost and is straightforward to use. It also works well with dictation software such as Dragon. The monitor dial and the slider let the user balance what comes into their monitor and choose how much of the mic versus the PC comes into their ears. However, it would be best if you still bought an AT2020 if you use it just for fun since you will be able to save money that way.
