The LG 27GL83A 27'' UltraGear™ QHD IPS 1ms Gaming Monitor with G-Sync® Compatibility is a fairly cheap 1440p monitor with a 144hz refresh rate and a TN-like IPS panel which has poor viewing angles and backlight bleed. The colors out of the box aren't great, and it feels like cheap plastic. The response time is decent, and it has G-sync compatibility. It is reportedly not easy to turn off the Smart Energy Saving. Some buyers encountered problems with adapters and dead pixels. The monitor has HDR10 but does not meet the standard for displayHDR400; the implementation is rated 6.8/10 for HDR gaming and 7.3/10 for HDR color gamut. However, the monitor performs well for non-HDR games and movies. Reviewers do not recommend the LG 27GL83A-B for people who want a quality budget monitor.
