- Question : Is there anything else other than water and gum tragacanth in this product? thanksAnswer : I'm relatively new to leatherwork. I've only used this tragacanth and water. Prior to receiving the tragacanth, using water alone got me similar results.
- Question : Can this product be used to repair cracking leather?Answer : I use this product to smooth and protect the the rough grain side of leather. If you have cracking, sounds like leather needs rehydrating. I would try products like Neatsfoot or mink oil. Hope this helps.
- Question : Does it dry stickyAnswer : Yes...though in general it will only adhere to the leather that you have put the gum trag on. I suppose if you were to put a piece of paper on it, it would stick, though not much.
- Question : Is this product flammable ?Answer : No, the product is not flammable
- Question : Does this dry clear? I’m assuming that it does, but some of my leather is very light colored. Thanks in advance.Answer : Yes. Just keep it on the edges. If u get it on the leather it can darken a little. A lot of times as I finish your project and rub your conditioners, etc it will mellow out and only u will c it.
