This suede dye works well to revive faded suede shoes, but may require 2 coats for a full coverage and should be given ample time to dry. It is not suggested for leather, and may bleed onto other items in rainy weather. The dye leaves behind a permanent, darker color, but may give off some slight rub off if not applied evenly. There were some reports of the dye coming off or leaving behind a purplish hue at first, so test on a small spot first. Overall, this dye provides a more affordable way to update faded suede items, but may require some extra patience and care.
