- Question : How frequently should it be used?Answer : It is recommended to use the cleaner every 1-3 months depending on usage.
- Question : Should I keep using this if I am halfway through my third bottle and have used this each time consecutively? Brown-green sludge comes out each time.Answer : I realize this is an old question but I’m responding for others who may need the info now. I used five rounds of the cleaner (so one full bottle plus 1/4 of a second.) For the last couple rounds, I filled the tub and added the Oh Yuk and let it sit for an hour or two before even running the jets (I have an air jet tub). It seemed to help. I also noticed on the company website (after I finally got my tub cleaned out) they recommend the following approach for really stubborn ones: Fill above jets, add product, run jets for 30 minutes. Do not drain. Let it sit overnight, add another 4 Oz of product and run for 30 minutes. Drain and rinse.
- Question : Will it work on my air jetted jacuzzi tub?Answer : The bottle says jetted bathtub cleaner. There is no other equipment noted on the bottle. I hope this information is helpful.
- Question : I ran 4 cycles with 4 oz. each time with bleach/dishwasher soap in between. There are no black specs only a green tub ring. Are the jets clean yet?Answer : Hillary. It doesn't do any good to run bleach/dishwasher soap in between cleanings with Oh Yuk. Bleach and/or dishwasher detergent can't remove the type of soiling in the jetted tubs plumbing system. It sounds like your jets are clean since you don't see more debris or specs in the tub. On the green tub ring, I'm not sure what could cause this. Do you have an acrylic tub? You could try different cleaning methods to remove the green stain. Try 409, rubbing alcohol, Lime & Scale or CLR. DO NOT MIX THE CHEMICALS TOGETHER, try them separately.
- Question : Has anyone had any luck with using on a tub with non functioning jets?Answer : Yes - several of my jets were clogged and non functioning (mini air jetted tub). You may consider adding the product and letting it just soak for a while before even turning jets on.
- Question : The green residue on the tub is the product itself. People are misled thinking it comes from their tub. Why are you selling snake oil?Answer : Did not have any green residue when I used it, but it most certainly cleaned the jets in my tub. Absolutely worked better than expected!
- Question : Does it contain bleach?? Will it hurt curtains if it splatters on them?Answer : The product does not contain bleach and will not harm curtains.
- Question : We seldom use our jetted tub & the holes are filled with calcium deposits. Do you think this will clean them?Answer : So long as there is some opening so the liquid can flow, it should work. If the holes are totally plugged by calcium, you need a heavy duty calcium dissolving chemical - ask a pool/hot tub retailer but make sure it’s safe with your tub: some plastic tubs might be dissolved too!
- Question : Not returnable?? Why?Answer : Not sure on that. You will not want to return it after you see he job it does cleaning.
- Question : Ingredients please?Answer : Active ingredients: Quarternary Ammonium cation. Works great...just ordered my second bottle.
- Question : Is this product OK to use with an acrylic whirlpool?Answer : Kathy, yes the product is safe for all bath surfaces.
