I don't see Methanol listed as an ingredient. It just shows Active Ingredient as Menthol USP 4% on all 3 BioFreeze. The 4 oz tube expires July 2016, the 3 oz roll-on expires June of 2016 and the 4 oz 360 degree spray aerosol can expires on July 2016.

How do you get the nozzle on the spray to work?

Press down firmly to activate the first spray. Make sure it’s not aimed towards your face. After that it works pretty well.

Is this the green or colorless gel?

It's the green gel, but it clears up quickly.

Is it supposed to be refrigerated? And do you refrigerate the OPEN vial?

No, it doesn't have to be refrigerated. At least, we never did and it doesn't say to refrigerate. I also don't believe it comes in a vial.
