Now And Zen Expanded & Remastered

**** "Now And Zen Expanded & Remastered" is a shimmering embodiment of the vibrant 1980s soundscape, impeccably crafted by Robert Plant. The album sits at the intersection of classic rock and the ethereal ambiance synonymous with the late '80s, making it a quintessential piece for both die-hard Robert Plant aficionados and those with a penchant for the nostalgic allure of 80s music. With a production that masterfully balances dynamic instrumentation and distinct moods across its tracks, "Now And Zen" proves to be a remarkable listening experience. Opening with the powerhouse track "Heaven Knows," the album instantly captivates listeners with its anthemic chorus and lush instrumentation, exemplified by a legendary guest guitar solo from Jimmy Page. The album is interspersed with memorable melodies, notably in tracks like "Dance On My Own" and "The Way I Feel," where Plant’s vocal delivery excels in conveying emotion and resonance. However, not all tracks hit the mark equally; some songs like "Tall Cool One," "Billy's Revenge," and "White, Clean and Neat" did not resonate as strongly with listeners, being more easily skipped than others. Despite this, the overall cohesive feel and high production quality stand out. Each song is crafted with intricate attention to detail, showcasing a blend of catchy melodies and skillful arrangements without succumbing to overwhelming solos. Listeners will find a special charm in tracks like "Ship of Fools," which draws the listener into its serene essence, and "Walking Towards Paradise," the album's exquisite closer, maintaining that comforting blend of rock and dreamy sound that has become a signature of Plant's later work. Ultimately, "Now And Zen" presents a compelling argument for Plant’s ability to evolve while paying homage to his rock roots. It’s not only a must-have for fans of Robert Plant but also an essential addition to any music lover's collection, especially for those who cherish the iconic sounds of the 80s. **
