This plastic access door by Dynasty Hardware allows easy access to plumbing or electrical concealed in walls with a ready-to-paint ABS plastic finish that can be installed in walls or ceilings with a removable door and requires no framing or screws.
Product Details
- Easy To Install. This plastic access door is easy to install. No framing or screws are necessary. Simply cut the hole in the wall 3/8” larger than the order size and attach the access panel to the wall with caulking adhesive (not included).
- Ready For Paint. This plastic access door is ready to paint right out of the package. No preparation is necessary. Simply install and paint the access door to match your décor. The access door can be left unpainted if you prefer. Beautiful white ABS plastic finish goes with most décor.
- Installs In Walls or Ceilings. Our plastic access panels can be installed in walls or ceilings. These versatile access panels can be installed on to drywall, plaster, brick or stucco.
- Removable Door. This access panel features a removable door. Removing the door allows you to have more access to the wall opening.

- Question : How do I remove the door from the frame without breaking a hinge tab?Answer : It is impossible. The panel is made too cheaply.
- Question : How do you open it once installed?Answer : This access panel has plastic latches on one side of the door to hold it closed. To open the access panel you can use a flat head screwdriver to pry open the door.
- Question : Is the total thing 22" wide or is the actual door 22" wide. How would it mount on roof studs? Can I insert and screw in from the side of stud?Answer : The actual door is 22" wide. The pressure used to open access door would indicate to me a few screws to assist glue would be added assurance. It is mountable from the side of the stud.

DYNASTY AP-2222 Access Doors Editorial Review
This plastic access panel for drywall is a sturdy solution to accessing plumbing and other connections. It can be mounted on the roof studs and is easy to install. The product dimensions are slightly larger than what is advertised, so double-checking before purchasing is recommended. The access panel has plastic latches that hold the door closed, which can easily be opened with a flathead screwdriver. However, a hinge tab is prone to breaking off, which could be a drawback. One customer was disappointed with the customer service, as the return was unsuccessful.
