    Answer : The smart plug has a maximum loading of up to 15A and 1875W.
  • Question : Is the smart plug compatible with ECHO PLUS?
    Answer : No, it is not compatible with ECHO PLUS. However, it works with ALEXA & GOOGLE ASSISTANT.
  • Question : How do I set up the smart plug?
    Answer : You can pair the smart plug with your hub and use your cellphone for control. Simply scan the QR code and press the button 3 times to pair it.
  • Question : How do I add this switch to Wink 2 hub?
    Answer : I’m not familiar with Wink 2 hub. I am using a SmartThings hub and it is working fine.
  • Question : It won’t connect to the SmartThings app. Is there a fix?
    Answer : Add the device by brand instead of scanning nearby. It will have you press the power button 3 times and it will begin flashing to sync. Worked over here.
  • Question : How do you factory reset this switch?
    Answer : Not sure. All I know is I finally got it to work. Wireless connections tend to always be a gamble. Once linked, it works without a flaw.
  • Question : Does this work with Universal Devices ISY994i ZW+?
    Answer : Yes. However, to get it to work any distance from the ISY994i, I had to add several Aeotec range extenders.
  • Question : Could you use this to control a box fan?
    Answer : This Z-Wave lighting dimmers are not designed or constructed to control motor loads or fans.
  • Question : Does this work on a 5GHz wi-fi network?
    Answer : No, it is Z-Wave, not Wi-Fi.

Minoston Outlet Switches Editorial Review

The Minoston Z-Wave Plug Dimmer Smart Plug-in Outlet is a small and compact device that works well. It can be paired with Ring and ADT, and is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant but not Apple HomeKit. Although there have been reports of issues with energy reporting, the device seems to work fine but may need to be hard reset in some cases.
