Rokinon Xeen XN35-PL 35mm T1.5 Professional Cine Lens for PL Mount Pro Video Cameras (Black)

The Rokinon Xeen XN35-NEX 35mm T1.5 Professional Cine Lens for Sony E Mount Interchangeable Lens Cameras (Black) is a well-built and sturdy cinema lens with impressive optics quality. The focus and iris gears move smoothly making it easy to operate. Though not as sharp as the Sigma Art 18-35 or 50-100, the Xeen's lenses have a softer image with their own character and feel. The bokeh has a nice blooming look wide open and a star-like flare at about T 2.8 forward, making lens flare very attractive as well with colourful circles that streak across the image without being distracting. However, the lens came with back focus off in one instance and the individual had to repair it before usage. Despite this, it is recommended for use in narrative productions with a warmer, down-to-earth feel, talking head and most commercial or industrial uses.
