Do the weights really weigh the stated amount?

For my 0.05 oz scale, once calibrated with the 100g weight, all the other weights report spot on. These masses are more than good enough for 99% of uses.

How sturdy are the handles?

I epoxied them to my shaft and swung it till the cows came home, didn't break!

What good is a gram weight for powder weights which are in grains?

My suggestion is to utilize a grains to grams conversion table. These exact weights are well suited for my cooking recipes with grams.

Do the weights come with calibration certificates?

The set I received did not have any such certificate. However, the weights appear to be dead on for my purposes.

What are the diameters of the 50 and 100 gram weights?

100g is 25mm and the 50g is 20mm.

Are these ferrous (can be attracted by magnet)?

They are stainless steel, so they shouldn't be attracted by magnets, but I can't confirm for sure.
