- Question : Is this TSA safe?Answer : I took a quick look at TSA's website and I would say this falls under their sharp objects category since it has a blade. Most sharp objects that have blades cannot go into carry on but are allowed in checked bags only. You may want to ask TSA directly and send them a picture so they can advise you specifically.
- Question : Is it strong enough to break a window or just hope it breaks a window....need to know that it will on the average car window..Answer : Because of the design of car windows (except the windshield) it doesn't take a lot of force to shatter one. The force just has to be focused on a small point (hence why glass break hammers have a very small tip unlike traditional hammers). The benefit of this over a glass break hammer is you don't need to have any strength or mobility to use it (think arm injury or trapped after a vehicle rollover). Since it auto-resets (per another reviewer) you can use it a few times if needed but I'd bet the first hit would be sufficient. I haven't tested though.
- Question : How do you break window with this tool?Answer : Push red spring loaded tip against glass.
- Question : How do turn off the alarm system?Answer : you hit the button on the top left that shows the symbo
- Question : Does this have a keychain?Answer : No key chain, only a key ring which I attach to my car-keys key ring. Stronger. I have these for several years now and my batteries are still going strong. I buy/bought them for my kids and friends too. It is just a little bulky, attached to the key ring, but it works for me.
