The Marcy Diamond Elite Olympic Smith Cage Machine is a home gym machine that provides a total body workout. It takes about 3-4 hours and two people to assemble, but it is sturdy and well-made. The gym is highly effective, and several customers are satisfied with it, which saves them a lot of time travelling to the gym. All pulleys have bearings, the linear bearings on the smith bar rock, and the cage will accept standard olympic bar with adjustable brackets. Instructions are not straightforward but can be followed easily. One complaint is the bar isn't marked for hand spacing, and the olympic-sized sleeves are plastic. There aren't bearings on the overhead cable crossover swivel-joints, making it awkward to do exercises with one overhead crossover pulley (like tricep extensions). The gym does take floor space and requires an area of approx 9' x 9'.
