The head will turn 90 degrees to one side and spin. Very sturdy tripod. I use it with a Nikon D800 and a Sigma 180 macro lens, together about 10 lbs.

Yes. Folded up, it's about 6in tall and 3.5in thick. It's a solidly built product and does feel a bit heavy (about 1.5 lbs) for its size.

Is the ball head compatible with a Manfrotto Q-2 quick release plate

That I don't know, I don't have a Manfrotto Q-2 quick release plate. If the dimension is the same it should fit.

What are the dimensions fully folded up for packing?

I don't have a measuring tool to be absolutely accurate however, the 6.7 inches of lowest height is only a faction longer than the unit fully folded up. It fits in the palm of my hand - from heel to finger tip and is only slightly bigger than my Bose Soundlink Resolve in its' dimensions. This is the most solid, quality built mini tripod I have ever used. It is a tank. To be honest though, I carry it the same way it is displayed when inserted into the models front pocket - with the legs squeezed together instead of folded back into the center column. That way, it fits into the side pocket of my backpack and the side compression strap holds the tripod securely.

Can the rubber feet be removed? Is there a threaded socket or post under the foot?

Being that its intended to be a table tripod, the rubber feet are permanently attached.

Can we replace the head with a fluid head?

The ball socket can be removed.

Is the center column removable? (item description says it is but nobody seems to confirm it)

Yes, it is removable. There is a cap on the base that needs to be unscrewed first.

Will this tripod support a gimbal?

It could physically support one, it's pretty sturdy. However, the ballhead does not come off, so unless your gimbal mounts to an acra swiss QR plate, then no.
