- Question : What type of fish food does it dispense?Answer : 4-10 mm pellets or sticks food, not for flake!
- Question : How many times per day can it be programmed?Answer : Up to 6 times per day
- Question : Is it easy to refill?Answer : Yes, the snap lid is easy to refill
- Question : How do you change the number of meals from the three in the factory preset? I want to feed only once a day.Answer : Just set once, skip the other, don’t put a time and it will only feed once.
- Question : How much 3.125mm (1/8”) pellets will it dispense using the dense auger (in grams or cup measurement) on shortest duration?Answer : I haven’t measured it but it seemed to me it was at least several tablespoons full up to a quarter of a cup on one dispense on the shortest time. It seems they engineered this for very large ponds. I have a small backyard pond and only needed about a teaspoon of food three times a day.
- Question : Can I use if on a Fish tank ?Answer : No, it is waaaaay too big for a tank, pond use primarily, I have a 4500 gal pond and it is large for my pond!
- Question : Where is this product manufactured ?Answer : China, and the instructions are not very clear.
- Question : Does the New Version in 2022 hold the schedule in the event of a power outage? Is there a battery backup?Answer : It took me all day to figure it out.. Still not sure if it will work tomorrow. There is no memory button.
- Question : can i use another controller for this, as mine went out after power outage?Answer : I haven’t encountered that problem but think the answer is no. You probably need an identical replacement controller. Make sure you have power at your receptacle and that the GFI isn’t tripped.
- Question : Where can I find better programming instructions and don’t say on the Internet, provide a link or website??Answer : Check the internet or YouTube. There’s always something in the YouTube.
- Question : Is the new version now waterproof ? Strangely it says it's made for outdoor use and the finer print below says do not get it wet.Answer : Yes, it is waterproof now. Although we suggest to make a shelter for the controller incase any damage.
- Question : Where can I get a replacement power cord?Answer : Ask the manufacturer. It is a 115 volt system. you could make your own with a waterproof connector.

However, there are some drawbacks with this product. The manual doesn't include details for all versions of the product and programming can be challenging without internet access. There are also reports of the feeder dispensing all the food in it on occasion, feeder jams and clogging and a plug that won't fit into a watertight exterior receptacle box.
