I have not noticed any damage to my doors. It seems to be very easy on them. I’ve been using these for several weeks and there is no damage to my door or door frame.

Where does the door anchor attach to a door; bottom edge, top edge, door knob / handle?

You can attach it to the top edge, bottom edge, or anywhere in the middle of your door. The only place it doesn't attach to is your door knob/handle.

Are there two or each band in this set or only one?

There are five bands. One of each size.

I'm not sure how these attach. I have a door opening but no door where I would use these.Would this work?

I don’t use the door attachment but I’m pretty sure there needs to be a door so it can shut & latch in order to use the attachment.
