This marine throttle control works by pulling the handle out at the base and pushing forward, acting as a throttle without the shifting action. The product comes with a template and its cut out hole measures 3 and a 1/2 inches with bolt holes being a quarter inch away from the main hole. Users confirmed that it works with Alpha one Gen. 1 without the cable extensions, 1985 bayliner 5.0 omc stinger, and alpha 1 gen1. However, it's made for an inboard motor only, so it won't work for a 2001 Honda 40 hp. One user claimed that the trim button is not working.
