- Question : Are these genuine Mikasa?Answer : They certainly appear to be so. They exactly match all my other Italian Countryside.
- Question : Are these made in Malaysia like the original pieces?Answer : Checked the ones I got..no notation where it’s made like the others..just mikasa Italian countryside DD 900, but a perfect match to my original.
- Question : Is this white or Ivory?Answer : It is white.
- Question : What is the height of these cups?Answer : 3 3/4"
- Question : They look dark in the photo. Are they winter white like other It Ctryside?Answer : Yes, they are winter white, but very thin. All of mine have broken in the short time I’ve had them. They are not nearly as well made as the original set I bought years ago.
- Question : Anyone noticed if the Italian Countryside plates/bowls heat up (too hot to touch) after being microwaved?Answer : I have not had that problem. However, I usually put them in for less than 6 minutes. If I need to heat something for more than that I use Pyrex.

- Question : country of origin?Answer : Unknown. Japan is indicated on some pieces and others have no markings.

The Mikasa Italian Countryside Soup/Cereal Bowl set of 4 is a lovely addition to any kitchen. These bowls are perfect for any cereal or soup and can easily match other items in the Italian Countryside line. The product has the Mikasa Italian Countryside DD900 mark on the bottom and is made in Malaysia. While the bowl itself is not bright white, it is still a beautiful creamy color. They may get hot to touch after being microwaved, but placing them on a microwave-safe holder will alleviate that issue. Customers have reported concerns about the bowls' durability, as they seem to chip easily and crack inside. However, customers who handle them with care have had no issues with the bowls.
