  • Question : Will this turn off at 78 degrees?
    Answer : No.....this product does not have a thermostat.
  • Question : Can it heat a 10 gallon tank?
    Answer : This is more suited for about half that a 3-5 gallon but it will still heat a 10 gallon just not very much.
  • Question : Can you use this heater for a 1.5 gallon tank
    Answer : Yes. I have one in my 1.5 gallon betta tank now and it works great! I've never had an issue. People telling u they put it in their larger tanks are just lazy and didn't take the time to read the listing, packaging, information booklet or anything other than the words 'fish tank heater' and the lower cost! It's NOT defective... its just NOT for that size tank so obviously it's not gonna work!! 🙄
  • Question : Cam this be placed under gravel in the tank?

  • Question : Does it have a USB plug for power?
    Answer : No, it plugs directly into a wall outlet.
  • Question : can you use this in a small bowl outside?
    Answer : Unless you have a thermometer in the bowl as well, possibly. I used this in a 5 gallon tank indoors and it barely kept the water at 70 degrees (my house is usually at 68 degrees) , and I ended up replacing it with a different heater for just a few dollars more after a month, so that I could manually set the temperature I wanted it at (since this flat heater wasn’t heating the tank to what I needed it at), and it had a built in digital thermometer as well.
  • Question : Can this heater be put outside the tank and heat not submerged?
    Answer : No, this heater must be submerged to heat the tank water.
  • Question : Is it auto shut off
    Answer : I do t know if it just goes up and down in temp but it auto adjusts so the water stays at a level temp like a house thermostat would. It actually works great and you hide it in the sand so it doesn’t show.
  • Question : What is the Length for 7.5 watt
    Answer : The heater itself is 4.2 inches plus the 1 inch knob where the cord goes in for a total of 5.2 inches. The cord itself is 6 feet.

This product will maintain the perfect temperature for your fish, making it a must-have. However, if you mistakenly use it in a larger tank, it is not going to work effectively. It is a useful item for those who don't want to take up too much space in their tanks, but it is not recommended for larger tanks. The device needs to be submerged in water to work.
