- Question : Can you remove the trays and just use it as a box to carry/store things in?Answer : You would end up having to cut (hacksaw?) the plastic to remove the trays. You can get plastic tool tote boxes that usually have a single removable tray that would be a better option. Look in the tool/hardware section of the discount big-box retailer. They also have heavier duty latches and are cheaper!

Although it is not very customizable with only division capability in certain trays, this tackle box can serve other storage needs such as storing crafting and gardening supplies. Flambeau does not sell tackle accessories with it, so one can purchase it as a strong and waterproof solution for storage only.
