Fiebing Saddle Soap is a great product for cleaning and restoring leather, as well as making it more supple. Based on the Q&A, it is safe to use on smooth cowhide leather boots and doesn't dry out or become brittle. The soap does not work as a waterproofer and should not be used on black leather that isn't already stained. The yellow tin is the recommended choice for leather that isn't stained or lightly stained. The product is gentle and cleaning leather deeply and quickly. It is easy to use and leaves the leather clean, soft, and with a coating of lanolin. Customers were able to restore years-old boots with this soap. The product has received generally positive comments across the board apart from one customer who did not try it yet.
